Globle Method
Globle colors each country you guess by how close it is to the mystery country: warmer means closer. The efficient approach guesses one country per continent first, reads which region runs warmest, then closes in on neighbors. Distance is the only clue, so use it deliberately.
How proximity coloring works
Every guessed country is shaded from cool to hot based on its distance to the target. A near-white guess is far away; a deep red guess borders or contains the answer. There are no letter clues, only geography.
That means a wrong guess is still valuable if it tells you which part of the world is warm. Random guessing throws away that signal.
The continent-first opening
Map the globe in four or five guesses
- Guess a large country on each continent: Canada, Brazil, Nigeria, Russia, Australia.
- Whichever runs warmest tells you the region to focus on.
- Then guess that region's big neighbors to triangulate direction.
- Finish by testing the specific bordering countries around the hottest guess.
Triangulating the answer
Knowing which countries border which is the real Globle skill. Once two guesses are warm, the answer is almost always a shared neighbor, and the daily Globle answer page confirms it if you get stuck.
Use two warm guesses to point
Two warm countries on different sides of the target point you at the answer between them. Guess the country that sits between your two warmest results.
Opening by region instead of by country
The first Globle guess is not trying to be right; it is trying to establish which part of the map is warm. That makes large, unambiguous countries the useful opening moves, because a proximity reading on a large country covers more ground than the same reading on a small island.
The table below lists large countries by region. One guess per region tells you which continent you are working in, and after that the large countries are no longer useful — you want the ones next door.
This is the stage where new players waste guesses. Naming small countries before the region is known produces a cold reading that narrows almost nothing, because a small country being cold does not tell you much about its neighbours.

One guess from each region establishes the continent; after that, work the neighbours rather than the largest countries.
Bracketing the target from two directions
A single warm reading tells you that you are close and nothing about which way to move. Two warm readings from different directions do something a single reading cannot: they intersect.
The procedure is to hold one warm country fixed as an anchor and move in one direction until the reading goes cold, then move back and try a different direction from the same anchor. Three or four readings around one anchor surround the target much more tightly than five readings scattered across a continent.
The same logic applies to islands and coastlines. A coastline reading is ambiguous in one direction — out to sea — so a coastal guess effectively gives you fewer directions to search than an inland one.

Guess one large country per region until a reading comes back warm. That identifies the continent you are working in.

Choose the warmest guess as your anchor
Take the country that produced the strongest proximity reading and stop moving across the map. Everything from here happens around this anchor.

Move one step in one direction until it cools
Guess a neighbour, then that neighbour's neighbour, in a single direction. Stop as soon as the reading drops — you have found an edge of the warm zone.

Return to the anchor and try a different direction
Repeat the outward walk on a different side. Two edges found from the same anchor bracket the target between them.

Search the intersection, not the coast
Once two directions have cooled, the paper target lies between them. Work the inland countries at that intersection before trying coastal ones.
Reading proximity without numbers
Globle does not hand you a distance in kilometres, which changes how you should record each guess. What you get is a colour-coded closeness signal, so the useful record is not a measurement but a set of directions: which neighbours are warmer, which are colder, and roughly where the warm zone ends.
That makes the notebook more useful than the memory. Two readings from opposite sides of the target define a band; a third reading from a different angle turns the band into an area.
